ATERC VISION STATEMENT

"Our Association of Transpersonal and Emotional Release Counsellors ( ATERC)
supports us, its members, to participate in the transformation of our world
through practices that enhance consciousness and connectedness".

THE ASSOCIATION OF TRANSPERSONAL AND EMOTIONAL RELEASE COUNSELLORS INCORPORATED
ATERC is a National Association bringing many benefits to its members. There are ATERC members in every State and Territory of Australia except Western Australia. Our members offer a unique, professional counselling service to the community, calling on the deep richness found within an individual's own life and experience, and in the hidden strengths both personal and transpersonal that support health and wholeness. ATERC has a firm conviction of the benefits that come with allowing emotional release in a supportive and encouraging environment. TERC modalities include breath-sessions, sandplay, voice dialogue, gestalt, dream work, mandala drawing, psycho-dynamic massage and others. These modalities are supported by breath, sound and movement, and underpinned by a growing capacity to observe the energetic movements of one's personal work, and the supportive guidance of transpersonal energy. TERC is a work of both healing and inner journey. The Association is committed to supporting the growth of this work, its practitioners and its clients. ATERC is a national association for counsellors who have completed their training in the modalities of Transpersonal and Emotional Release Counselling. ATERC is a constituent member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

HISTORY

In March 2006 ATERC became a National Association, membership being formed by a combination of the Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmanian Associations. It is incorporated in NSW. It became a constituent member of PACFA at the same time.

ATERC provides support for its members in the form of:
• Management of ATERC business

• Establishing national standards of training for Transpersonal and Emotional Release Counsellors through the National Body of Trainers.

• Establishing professional standards in the area of ethical practice and grievance procedures.
• Disseminating information to members
• Liaison between ATERC and PACFA

ATERC CHAPTERS
ATERC members form Chapters according to geographical region. Chapters meet for discussion of ATERC business,
personal and professional support, peer supervision and time for enjoyment together. ATERC values the personal and
professional growth and integrity of its members.
